Around April 14, the anniversary of the proclamation of the Second Republic, different forms of respect and recognition multiply of what was the most sophisticated form of humanist government that has ever been formed in our history, characterized by its desire for extension of culture and in the fight for the rights of groups furthest from the center of power: women and peasants in the 1930s. Admiration for a form of government that tried to assimilate the achievements of the Weimar Republic regarding to citizenship, and to progress under moral principles that Pericles himself would have signed for his classical Athens, the Second Republic arouses longing and longing.
